should i stay away from those who intentionally hurt us | |
is it right to keep distance and stay away from those who intentionally do and say things that are hurtful to you. being coworkers the distance is not always easy, but is it wrong to just try and keep distance rather then constantly feel the pain. i try and forgive them for their selfish hurtful ways and i know on that final day i need to answer for my own ways and they will need to answer for theirs, but just feel the need to put distance in the picture rather then worry about it.

hi,
yes, by all means, stay as far away from them as possible. of course, be cordial when you have to deal with them and greet them if they come across you, but i'd stay away from them. this hurt will only continue to eat at you & they will continue to be hurtful unless they truly repent. you are doing nothing wrong staying away from rude people. life's too short to be suffering like this on a daily basis. god knows your heart & he knows theirs, & they'll have to answer to him one day.

almost everyone was critical of jesus and he didn't avoid all of them. i'm not saying you should spend your free time with them but maybe you could find a way to show them love and grace in spite of their attitude?
