i have read so many christian books on masterburtion but none classifies it as a sin i want to know if it is a sin and how seroius it is.

the bible mentions avoid sexual activities.i believe if you masturbate you're committing a gay activity;we know that's sin

in my opinion masturbation is not the sin, it's anything that leads to it that is pretty much always a sin. clearly if you are masturbating you are lusting after someone, which is a sin. you might say well what if it's over my wife, well is anyone other than yourself getting any pleasure out of it? no of course not, so in that case you are being selfish, therefore you are sinning. clearly masturbation is not giving grace to god, so to answer your question masturbation may not be a sin but anything that would lead to it is. as far as it being a gay activity, i don't agree with that.
