in the book of john, there lists a deciple who is called "the one whom jesus loved" it also tells that while jesus was on the cross he told mary magdalene "behold your son" speaking of this deciple, and told the deciple, "this is your mother". i was just wondering if any one knows which deciple this was?

mary magdalene was a deciple of jesus, not his mother. mary, wife of joseph, was the earth and birth mother of jesus. and the man whom jesus referred to was john.
