the lord is no respecter of persons but he is a respecter of faith. abraham was brought up around worshipping other gods but because of his heart god revealed himself to abraham. he was said by the lord that he was "a friend of god". i love my friends. don't you? line up your mind and heart and life with the word of god. for the sake of love and friendship and see what happens in return. wisdom is already available for this in the word. start a relationship of friendship based on love (not fear or condemnation as some people do).
